Rogal Dorn was one of the twenty Primarchs created by the Emperor of Mankind to command the Space Marine Legions during the Great Crusade. After being scattered across the galaxy as an infant, he was raised on the world of Inwit, where he became a powerful and disciplined ruler.

When the Emperor rediscovered Dorn, he was placed in command of the Imperial Fists Legion. Dorn became known for his strategic brilliance in defensive warfare and large-scale fortifications.

During the Horus Heresy, Rogal Dorn remained loyal to the Emperor and played a critical role in defending Terra from the traitor legions. As Praetorian of Terra, he oversaw the fortification of the Imperial Palace and commanded loyalist forces during the Siege of Terra.
