What Is a Bolter?

A Bolter, or boltgun, is a standard firearm used by Space Marines and other Imperial forces in Warhammer 40K. It fires explosive projectiles called bolts that detonate after penetrating a target. Bolters are designed to deliver devastating damage against armored enemies and large creatures.
