EXPLANATION
The Drukhari are descendants of the ancient Eldar civilization that collapsed during the Fall of the Eldar. When the Chaos God Slaanesh was born, much of the Eldar empire was destroyed. However, some Eldar who lived in hidden Webway cities survived the catastrophe.
These survivors eventually became the Drukhari. Unlike other Eldar factions that adopted strict disciplines to avoid corruption, the Drukhari embraced cruelty and excess. They sustain themselves by inflicting suffering on others, which replenishes their life force and prevents their souls from being consumed by Slaanesh.
The Drukhari regularly launch raids into real space to capture slaves, gather resources, and spread terror across the galaxy.
WHY IT MATTERS
The Drukhari represent one of the most ruthless factions in Warhammer 40K. Their raids and slave-taking operations threaten many worlds, and their unique relationship with the Warp and Slaanesh makes them a dangerous and unpredictable enemy.
