EXPLANATION

Imperial Knights are giant armored walkers piloted by members of noble houses known as Knight Houses. These pilots form a neural bond with the Knight’s control system through a device called a Throne Mechanicum. This bond allows the pilot to control the machine almost as if it were an extension of their own body.

Knights originate from feudal worlds where ancient technology was preserved after the Dark Age of Technology. Over time, these noble houses pledged allegiance to the Imperium and often fight alongside Imperial forces such as the Astra Militarum, Space Marines, and Titan Legions.

Knights are equipped with powerful weapons including massive cannons, thermal lances, and enormous chain weapons designed to destroy armored vehicles and enemy war machines.

WHY IT MATTERS

Imperial Knights provide the Imperium with powerful mobile war machines capable of dominating battlefields. Their combination of advanced technology and noble warrior traditions makes them an important part of the Imperium’s military structure.
