Who Was Sanguinius?

Sanguinius was the Primarch of the Blood Angels Space Marine Legion and one of the most beloved and noble leaders of the Imperium. He remained loyal to the Emperor during the Horus Heresy and was killed by Horus during the final battle of the Siege of Terra.

EXPLANATION

Sanguinius was one of the twenty Primarchs created by the Emperor of Mankind to lead the Space Marine Legions during the Great Crusade. After being scattered across the galaxy, he was raised on the harsh world of Baal, where his noble character and leadership abilities earned him deep loyalty from his followers.

Unlike most Primarchs, Sanguinius possessed large angelic wings, which became a defining symbol of the Blood Angels Legion. He was admired for his compassion, honor, and battlefield skill, making him one of the most respected leaders in the Imperium.

During the Horus Heresy, Sanguinius remained fiercely loyal to the Emperor. When Horus led the traitor legions in the assault on Terra, Sanguinius fought in the defense of the Imperial Palace. During the final battle aboard Horus’s flagship, Sanguinius confronted Horus alone. Although he fought bravely, Horus ultimately killed him.
